Realistic buffer time between sessions

I’m tightening our conference run-of-show and need a standard turnover for 200-seat breakouts; we currently budget 15 minutes for AV reset and seating, but late starts creep when presenters swap laptops. Has 20 minutes held for you without cascading delays, or do you lock 30 and protect the schedule with a hard cutoff?

20 has held for us only when we kill laptop swaps: run a house Mac/PC and push decks from a ‘speaker-ready’ station so the next presenter is loaded before Q&A. If you can’t enforce that, I’d lock 30 with a hard cutoff because the swap tax always leaks — could you swing a speaker-ready setup?
